The NJ Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show
The NJ Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show is a 5-day public show held every May at the Expo Center in Edison, NJ. This is an excellent way to get the kids engaged in science and nature. This 5-day event is the largest show of its kind east of Denver, Colorado. Items for sale include dinosaurs, mineral specimens, common and rare gems, common and achingly rare fossils, petrified wood, artisan jewelry, meteorites, sharks' teeth, opals, sapphires, silver, gold, beads, science gifts, unique interior decor, and so much, much more. Prices are $1 to $100,000. Hands-on kid activities include metal detection, gem sluicing, a fossil dig, and freebies from local mineral & fossil clubs. Orange County Mineral Society presents our Annual Mineral, Gem & Fossil Show. Fun for the entire family featuring artisans, craftsmen, collectors, dealers, and exhibitors. Enjoy exhibits, demonstrations, games, educational displays, fluorescent minerals, and fossils. The most complete Mastodon found in New York will be on display. Food and refreshment are available for purchase. Admission: Adults $5, Seniors $3. Scouts in uniform and children under 12 are FREE. Rain or Shine.
